Ethnically Burmars are 69%, Shan 8.5 %, Kayin 6.2%, Kayah 0.4%, Rakhine 4.5 %, Chinese 0.7%, Mon 2.41 %, Indian 1.3 % and other tribes 6.99% , Buddhists (89.4%), Christians (4.9 %), Muslims (3.9 %), Animists (1.2%), Hindus 0.5%, others (0.1%)

West, China on the North-East, Laos on the East
and Thailand on the South East. The approximate
