Travel Advisory To India
    Government of India has issued an alert against the Swine Influenza virus. Health screening of passengers coming from Influenza virus A(H1N1) affected countries is continuing in 19 airports at Ahmedabad, Amritsar , Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai. Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Srinagar, Trichy and Varanasi. 126 doctors and 71 paramedics have been deployed.
    Emergency medical relief (EMR) of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare would be functioning from 8:00 am to 8:00 Pm and their control room could be accessed at 01—23061469. “24 x 7” influenza monitoring Cell at National Institute of Communicable Disease (NICD) could also be contacted at 01—23921401, if required.
    Therefore, all incoming travelers would be required to undergo health screening. In case of detection of symptoms associated with Influenza virus A(H1N1), the travelers will be quarantined which would involve hospitalization and other procedure requirements.
